Live n Kickin’

U MAY HAVE TO CLICK THIS VIDEO BOX IN ORDER TO VIEW THE LIVE BROADCAST

Sure, I’ll admit, I had slight anxiety over this broadcast…but once the camera’s started rolling and the curtains opened up…and all the amazing patience and positive energy coming from my fans, it was as easy as breathing!  I stood on my wooden stage, with a view of bright stars, animated giant guitars, flowers and a colorful display of virtual dress, flexi colors waving around, stars moving from beneath me and a full 30 minutes to dive into nothing buy my own Original Songs. Treet.tv was wonderful…patient as always. We ended up starting a bit later than scheduled due to the Treet Tv live stream which was also up, for people that couldn’t make it to the live show, so they could view it on the Tv.

Now, upon watching it, a couple days afterwards, there are a few things I would have done differently. MOUTH HUDS…get used to them, they are incredible. I didn’t have time to play with this great little piece of technology enough to make it work for me, so I have been completely distracted if I Watch the Video…when the camera is on my avatar’s face…the lips just aren’t quite moving the way I would have liked them to. My avatar looks like she is going through a series of constant surprises, opening her mouth and sucking in some air with this Startled look on her face. It makes me laugh…so this is always a good thing eh? And I would also like to get more familiar with the animated stage moves that come along with Live Tv Broadcasts in Second Life.       Considering SL is a virtual atmosphere, people work very hard to create content and scripts that allow us to be as much like our Physical real life selves as possible (if we so choose to look like we really do..) So, a microphone is set up that has built in scripted animations…to make the performer move in a way that they feel most comfortable.  Someone else controls your animations (if you so choose to have that..or if it is TreetTV) So my friend and Live n Kickin Host “DELINDA” was in charge of the animations. We went through them all before showtime, and it worked out quite well.  It’s best not to watch yourself when performing HAA!!!

All in all, the crowd and staff of Treet.Tv were amazing, the filming went great, and the compliments on my Living Room #13 Art Shack were never ending. Considering I built that one myself, I was quite pleased that people enjoyed the Flow of color, textures and the interactive things I have placed everywhere … as I do in all my creations!  I’ve had the Original Living Room #13 for about 5 years now…and LOVE LOVE it…it was built by Attim Hokkagai….after some time, I decided to add onto it…The Art Shack!!! It’s located above Gwampa Lomu’s fantastic sims and it’s because of him, that my Living Room #13 continues to thrive with fantastic events and musicians.  This is NOT to be confused with the Look Alike LIving Room #13 where Lauren Weyland does her show!!! She’s a great friend as well, and of course asked permission to Build her place similar to mine…you’ll have to check her out  on the grid!!

Again Thank you Everyone for all your support and for being part of my journey both in the virtual world, and in my physical life!

Still Looking for some Music? Check out #13…my newest release and my least expensive.  I am currently NOT using iTunes and choose to sell my Cd’s the old fashioned way…by having them delivered direct to your mailbox…so you can hold it in your hand and do as you wish with it. Untitled #13’s Tab is located at the top of this page.

MUCH PEACE!!!!

Celebration de la Femme

No Comment // Written on Mar 02, 2010 // News

Celebration de la FemmeWork has hit me…the work of passion, of something, anything I can create, I am content with.  Seems I’ve been kind of stuck on a songwriting bender…working with my amazing and talented friend Boris Van Luger is a journey I’m absolutely HIGH on….gotta love that feeling of a great collaboration.  But meanwhile, I’ve had these new songs surface in me, and just  haven’t been able to write them. So my creative soul took to the ink….pressed it on the paper, and started to do what I’ve always done since I can remember, DOODLE.

Doodles have a magical way of turning into things, and more things and more things…..so after a couple days of consulting my imagination, and what is the shape of this word….and more odd questions of this Bipolar mind of mine….I finished with this.

I call it Celebration de la femme, for a few reasons. One, I am french rooted, french blooded crazy american…. I’m also an artist…and i love playing with words, I think we all do on some level….and well, Celebration of women sounds cool, but to me Celebration de la Femme is more fitting. Other reason? I’m refreshing my french….problem is, I should do it over my morning coffee, not my evening beer…..memory, ya know?

Working on some of the recordings for “Garage Tracks”…and processing New Variations of “Lover” with Boris Van Luger, as well as all these odd interpretations that are sprouting up, just because I’ve been doing something different, with someone different….than where I am used to being. I love the challenge of this, and I love what is becoming of it.

If you have no checked out Untitled #13, please do!!!

Much love

Connecting Worlds through Music

2 Comments // Written on Feb 11, 2010 // News, music

I’m excited! Collaborations are always a good thing, and in the era of technology, we have so many opportunities to reach out and connect with people that live oceans away from us. A few years back, I started to dual stream with a friend of mine in Second Life, ‘Ricardo Sprocket’ or Rich Petko. He had introduced so many musicians from around the world, to some simple ways to dual stream…meaning, that everyone who is tuned into the stream we use to broadcast a live performance, hears us as if we were in the same room. In fact, often that is what newer people in Second Life think…Eventually I was hooking up with various musicians for the dual streaming…I would perform and they would do a lead guitar while I played or harmonies on vocals.

The first person on the stream…gives their stream info. to the 2nd person on the stream. That person, is the main Broadcaster. The first person begins and the 2nd person hears everything as if they were in the same room. However, the first person can not hear the 2nd person. Make sense? It’s actually much simpler than it sounds. Anyway..more opportunities came along outside of the realm of SecondLife. Phil Rossi, Linus Radford and currently am dual streaming in second life with Tukso Okey who plays a MEAN Acoustic Blues! We do this every Thursday at Living ROom #13. The benefits of this include reaching a bigger audience. Their fans come to see them, yours come to see you…imagine the possibilities with this!  The 2nd person on the stream is the one who can record the stream, live…that way you can listen back to it and hear what the other person is doing…it only gets better!

Boris Van Luger, a musician from Switzerland that I met about 2 years ago on TheSixtyone.com and I have been working on little things, ideas here and there. About a month or so ago, he asked me to write something for a video he was working on ‘Stories from Pain’ and so I sent him some words..which he used at the end of this video…and now, it’s “lover”…a song I wrote a couple years ago…This guy is pure genius, no doubt about that, and we talked about the song Lover. Thinking how great it would be for Boris to do his version of my song…a couple days later, in an email was the song…Lover-retake. I was in awe..No words..he wrote “Put your vocals on this and send just your vocals back to me, I will do the rest’…WOW. Now I wasn’t quite expecting this…So it’s the newest project here with me. Not that it’s hard for me to lay down a vocal track, but it’s doing my own song, to someone else’s interpretation of my song…it flows just like my original…but Boris put some very sweet sounds in his retake, Big bending lovely guitar sounds among other instruments..percussion etc.

BIG Gratitude here…and how the whole world can connect through social media websites such as T61. Reverbnation. Youtube and now UVUMI.com is sweet as well! (I like it MUCH better than T61). I just wanted to share that. I realize I haven’t been keeping this updated as of late, and I thought I’d fill you in on some of the tastier things that have come my way. My hopes and goals here, are to continue such wonderful collaborations. Making music is my passion in life, writing lyrics and the biggest compliment ever, is when another  musician, wants to do your song.  There are about a half a dozen musicians doing their own interpretation of my song Lover…and each one brings a certain sweetness to how they do it. Such BIG LOVE to them for asking, and for taking it to a whole new level of perception.

I’ll keep you posted, and perhaps even upload part of this completely remarkable experience…there is more to come.  If you get a chance, stop by Living Room #13 for Dirty Thursdays at 4pm PST (SLT).

Much love, peace and bright pretty stars!!! -
