It was a THRILL today, to feel like I actually got things done.  For the past 2 weeks since I have quit smoking, I’ve had a LOT of energy…and really needed to change the scenery around me, in this space, I call ‘my studio lounge’…it’s home within home.  It all started out during a conversation with my Mom….how we tend to Hold onto things, find it hard to get rid of that ONE sock you ca n’t find the other match for, BUT YOU MIGHT, so you hold onto it, and other useless things, old mail, notes, papers, things I no longer use or wear. FIVE Trash bags later, and I had ROOM again for well, SPACE…then I moved onto the other room, cleaned it out, emptied dressers, and it’s now used as a guest room, storage room and photo room…THEN to this Lounge here….HOLY CRAP do I ever have a bunch of USELESS STUFF, and all those papers that I write Notes on, so I don’t forget..O..I found those, but I have no idea what they mean anymore!

Apparently doing this triggers other things to happen, like creativity finds it’s way back into your world, cuz you um…HAVE ROOM for it…and it creates this ebb and flow of timelessness. For lack of a better way to explain. I updated as many old websites as I could. I added new songs on my new Uvumi Site. I added new pieces to a series I’m working on called “Shabby Espesso Heart”  more or less of a Valentines Project.  You might like to have a peek! My Art on Etsy!

Just sharing some stuff.  Also, I’m working on a way to get a perm. box on the side, for the Untitled #13 CD, as I currently have a Cover for it, done by my good friend Alan Seeger who you might  know as Phoenix Psaltry. He has offered to do art for the Untitled CD, and since I mail my discs out in Bright colored paper sleeves, I have no room on it for art work….So instead it’s Perfect for the Icon to purchase the cd…it will link direct to paypal.  It is unlikely I will be putting #13 up on iTunes anytime soon. But you can still purchase the other two cd’s there, or individual songs.  New things are still happening with thissite…So don’t surprised if things get a little re arranged from time to time, or Often (depends on my mood eh?)

I have never struggled so much, as I have with this CD.  The original title, based on the song Roadmap, has faded, as the CD and it’s list of songs, has progressed, so have the ideas.  I have decided to mix this CD with some Live content, stories for the songs, some poetic acoustic….some blues and quite a flavor of lyrical visuals.  Many of you have pre ordered the disc, even though it’s Untitled, not unfinished   I guess just because something doesn’t have a name, doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist.

Below is a blog about all the songs listed on the cd…and perhaps I’ll have a listening party, and you can tune in….listen to the flavor of it, and decide on a title that you think is appropriate. I’m struggling with it. The person who comes up with a Title, that really fits my bones, and fits the cd (i’m VERY particular) will win a copy of the 13 song disc, as well as an original Art Piece.  Not to mention I’ll drop your name on the CD as the creator of the title.

Each CD will come with one ‘post card’ size piece of art

Been Busy…been buried in things.  I feel like I’ve racked my head against a brick wall for WEEKS and MONTHS even, until finally I found an old program I downloaded over a year ago…..I used to work in Mental Health, and I would spend every other weekend, taking care of the mentally challenged. Basically I had a A LOT of time on my hands, so I downloaded ‘Gimp’ a program much like Photoshop, just a bit of a different lingo. I was a bit frustrated with it, back then. Or perhaps I just lacked patience. Anyway, I pulled it back up and decided to mess around with it, and well….needless to say, I’ve been lost in it for about a week now.  I’m quite impressed!  So I’ve taken my paintings, the ones hanging here, in my studio now, surrounding me, and put them thru the wringer of my imagination, and WOW…..

This is a drawing I kind of, sketched out, for ideas, on how this program works, what Can I do? What does this do? What’s this? and so on and so on…….so this is something I drew, put through a grid, with burns, with circles, with curves and fractals…and whatever the lingo might be. My Family has been here for almost 3 weeks. It’s CRAZY! I’m not used to being around a lot of people, I’m a bit reclusive and I rather like it that way.  So it’s going to be non stop, once they leave, to go back to Georgia, my other son is joining the Airforce as well, just like the one that has been visiting….So another son of mine will be living with us, temporarily, til he goes to Texas for basic Training, in January, THEN my brother in law, is going to  move in with us. Times are tough all around, and it’s the right thing to do. HOW my sanity will hold up, is entirely another story. Stay tuned!

This is why I bury myself in things I can get my ‘creative flow’ out…inside of. My madness. It’s my own kind of madness. We all do what we need to do, to get through life’s  bends and curves, jagged lines and steep hills….ya just never know where it’ll take you.

Meanwhile, I’ve put up a display of some of my art at Living Room #13 as well. I’ll be messing around with that from time to time, adding new things…til I burn myself out on it, and it becomes useless to me, for awhile, until again, one day I rack my head against a wall, until a few bricks come loose, and allow me to peek into another realm, and something else, grows…..
